PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 12, 2011 - Hosted at the Sophia Country Club in the beautiful French Riviera on 6 & 7 October, the Executive Print Retreat promises once again to be a lively and exclusive conference that allows senior figures in print to address and debate current and future issues in print. Pira has once again achieved an unrivalled programme of high calibre speakers to make this conference the global forum for print industry executives.
The opening plenary on Day 1 features presentations from leading names in the print industry, providing an overview of the current state of the industry, in terms of economic, socio-political, business and technological factors. Dr Ronnie Davis, VP, Printing Industries of America opens proceedings with his view of the communications and print markets of the future, in light of current economic and generati manual trash compactor onal trends. This is followed by an insight into the News Consumer, with McKinsey and Company's partner Phillip Natterman presenting results of their recent study into news readership trends. CEO of Lateral Group, Jason Cromack, moves proce trash bins edings on to address the strategies needed to deliver effective cross channel communication Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi s, an important issue in today's industry.
The morning's programme closes with a presentation of Pira's mos helicop ter technology t recent market data and three future scenarios for the print industry. These scenarios will then form the basis of the Big Print Debate, featuring all presenters from the session and allowing speakers and delegates to openly discuss and debate the future of the industry.
The future of print's role in delivering content and in promoting products and services are the focus of the afternoon tracks, each chaired by Pira International's expert consultants Neil Falconer and Sean Smyth and featuring presentations from leading companies, including Groupe Aeroplan, Pages Editores and Prinovis.
Day 2 begins with another plenary session to set the scene for the day and will address two important questions for the print industry; "What does the online world think of print? and "How can future success in the commercial print industry be achieved?" presented by Romney Whitehead of Net-A-Porter Group and commercial printer St Ives. The second half of the morning's proceedings take place in two more parallel tracks and features a new focus for 2011; opportunities in emerging markets, focusing on Asia, Latin America and India.
To round off these two days of high level discussion, the closing plenary will provide some food for thought and highlight how printers can take advantage of developments in e-media, especially social media, in the form of results from a GlobalWebIndex study and insights from RR Donnelley. Pira International are also pleased to announce that the closing keynote address will be presented by Dr Richard Romano, a well known figure in the printing industry, who will bring together all of the themes discussed throughout the conference and present his view of the future of the print industry.
