PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 27, 2011 – www.cri-report.com - In 2010, China had accumulative fertilizer production of 66.20 million tons, increasing by 2.50% YOY, and the output created the highest record in history.

Since 2010, the profitability of China's fertilizer industry has been significantly improved and the total profits have seen a substantial growth. In January-November 2010, the accumulative profits of the fertilizer industry totaled CNY 24.40 billion, increasing by CNY 9.13 billion over the same period of last year; the sales profit rate was 4.70%, increasing by 1.01% over the same period of last year. At the end of November 2010, the deficit scale of China's fertilizer industry was 16.49%, decreasing by 5.74% over the same period of 2009.

In 2010 H1, China's fertilizer industry was influenced by various factors such as excess production capacity, frequent meteorological disasters, insufficient demand and export difficulties, and the fertilizer market was in downturn operation overall. However, since the third quarter, the fertilizer products have changed the former sluggish state and the prices have presented the signs of rising overall.

Since 2010, rapid expansion phenomenon of production capacity for China's fertilizer industry has been controlled to a certain extent and the investment growth rate has significantly slowed down. The accumulative investment of the fertilizer industry in 2010 reached CNY 98.82 billion, increasing by 7% YOY at the rate 18% lower than that Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi of the national assets investment of the whole society; the number of new projects was 1,159, decreasing by 13.90% YOY. Among them, it was mainly the nitrogen fertilizer whose investment decreased faster, decreasing by 16.10% YOY, while phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and rc helicopter market place compound fertilizer as well as organic, microbial fertilizer fixed assets investment showed a year-on-year growth of 8.30%, 35.30%, 34.10% and 27% respectively.

Driven by various factors such as brisk demand and cost increase, China's fertilizer market in 2011 will be better than 2010, and the price centre will move up. However, it is predicted that when domestic fertilizer market shows the overall rise in 2011, it will appear clear differentiation. Among them, the prices of nitrogen fertilizer and potash fertilizer may show a continuous slight rise and phosphate and compound fertilizer has little possibility of substantia helicop ter technology l rise.

"Romania Power Report Q2 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 25, 2011 – BMI forecasts that by 2015 Romania will account for 2.24% of Central Eastern Europe (CEE) regional power generation, and will remain a modest net exporter of electricity to neighbouring states. CEE power generation in 2010 will have been an estimated 2,581 terawatt hours (TWh), representing a recovery of 2.3% from the helicop ter technology previous year. We forecast an increase in regional generation to 3,023TWh by 2015, representing a rise of 13.6% during 2011-2015.

CEE thermal power generation in 2010 will have been around 1,282TWh, accounting for 49.7% of the total electricity supplied in the region. Our forecast for 2015 is 1,447TWh, implying 10.0% growth that reduces the market share of thermal generation to 47.9% - thanks to environmental concerns promoting renewables, hydro-electricity and nuclear generation. In 2010, Romania's thermal generation is expected to have been 30.2TWh, or 2.36% of the regional total. By 2015, the country is expected to account for 2.33% of regional thermal generation.

Gas is the dominant fuel source in Romania, accounting for an estimated 35.7% of 2010 primary energy demand (PED). Gas is followed by oil at 29.0%, coal at 18.1%, hydro at 10.3% and nuclear with a 6.3% share of PED. Regional energy demand is forecast to reach 1,519mn toe by 2015, representing 13.15% growth over the period 2011-2015. Romania's estimated 2010 market share of 2.64% is set to rise to 2.70% by 2015. In 2010, Romania will have accounted for an estimated 2.71% of regional nuclear energy consumption, with a forecast market share of 2.58% by 2015.

Romania holds fifth place in BMI's updated Power Business Environment Ratings, this quarter jut two points behind Poland and three ahead of Hungary. The score reflects a relatively low level of import dependence, a high proportion of renewable energy, growing PED and an established competitive landscape. Over the medium term, Romania is likely to be left further behind by Poland, Turkey and Russia, while Hungary, which is ranked below poses little threat.

BMI expects Romanian real GDP growth to average 3.98% a year between 2011 and 2015, with an assumed 2011 increase of 2.10%. The country's population is set to contract from 21.4mn in 2010, to 21.0mn in 2015, and GDP per capita and electricity consumption per capita are forecast to rise 45% and 20% respectively. The country's electricity consumption is expected to increase from an estimated 38.7TWh in 2010 to 46.5TWh by the end of the forecast period. After power industry usage and system losses, we see an estimated net surplus of up to 4.3TWh in 2015, assuming 3.9% average annual growth in generation during the period 2011-2015.

Between 2011 and 2020, we are forecasting an increase in Romanian electricity generation of 38.3%, which is towards the upper end of the projected range for the CEE region. This equates to 18 manual trash compactor .8% in the 2015-2020 period, up from 16.4% in 2011-2015. PED growth is set to increase from 16.1% in 2011-2015 to 18.4% in 2015-2020, representing 37.4% for the entire forecast period. An increase of 35% in hydropower use during 2011-2020 will be a key element of generation growth, with nuclear use set to rise by 60%. Thermal power generation is forecast to increase by 62% between 2011 and 2020. More detail of BMI's long-term forecasts can be found later in the report.

South Korea Metals Report Q2 2011: New research report available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 24, 2011 – The Korean steel industry is set for a surge in output in 2011 helped by new capacity, continued growth in export-oriented sectors and the effects of the Japanese earthquake on regional steel supply and demand. However, there are concerns that competitiveness is being eroded by rising raw material costs and the appreciation of the won.

In 2010, South Korea's crude steel output was up 19.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 58.03mn tonnes. This was far lower than the 65.35mn tonnes forecast by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA) and marginally less than BMI's estimate of 58.80mn tonnes. Almost all the rise in output was produced by converters, which accounted for over 60% of crude output with the remainder producer by EAFs. Output growth was assisted by a massive increase in crude steel production capacity with Hyundai Steel starting two new furnaces at Dangjin in April and November, each with a capacity of 4mn tpa, raising capacity by 25%. The recovery was aided by a rise of around 17% in total steel exports to 22.19mn tonnes. Exports were led by flat products, which rose 17.4% y-o-y to 17.53mn tonnes. However, growth was partly offset by a 2.6% decline in long exports to 3.21mn tonne trash bins s. At the same time, South Korea imported 41.25mn tonnes and 13.48mn tonnes of long products and flat products respectively in 2010, increasing by 46.5% and 19.1% y-o-y.

While 2010 marked a slower recovery in steel output than many had hoped, BMI foresees a surge in Korean production in 2011 due to increased capacity, continued growth in the global economy and the effects of the Japanese earthquake on the regional steel market. Growth will be led by a revival in the shipbuilding industry as well as solid growth in car manufacturing. BMI forecasts 23.8% growth in crude steel output to a record high of nearly 72mn tonnes in 2011, assisted by recent capacity expansion and rising demand in every steel consuming sector, apart from construction. Domestic consumption of finished steel products is forecast at 55.12mn to rc helicopter market place nnes, with a further 26.64mn tonnes of semi-finished and finished steel exported. Exports will be encouraged not just by the effects of the Japanese earthquake, but growth in demand from India and the ex garbage compactor review pansion of the supply chains of Korean steelmakers such as POSCO and Hyundai Steel. BMI also forecasts a 12.6% decline in imports to 23.75mn tonnes due largely to an increase in domestic supply. Hot-rolled output is also set to rise 12.7% to 66.72mn tonnes.

Growth is supported by high levels of investment by Korean steelmakers both at home and abroad. Korean steelmakers' investment will rise 3.7% y-o-y to KRW8.4trn in 2011 as Hyundai Steel Co plans a third furnace and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co builds a mill in Brazil. POSCO, the world's third biggest steelmaker, plans the biggest spending among companies (of KRW5.4trn), although much of that spending will be on foreign operations.

BMI believes Korean steelmakers are best placed to take advantage of the Japanese reconstruction efforts over the next two to three years, which will create a gap in the regional market, particularly for high end products. There are, however, some downside risks. With around 40% of South Korea's crude steelmaking capacity in electric arc furnaces (EAFs), compared with an average of less than 20% for Asia and 28% globally, the country's steel industry is vulnerable to a decline in scrap supplies. Scrap feedstock may decline in ava helicop ter technology ilability and therefore rise in price due to Japan's infrastructural damage and potential radioactive contamination of Japanese scrap. Japan is the world's second biggest scrap exporter, typically supplying 7.5-9.5mn tonnes per annum (tpa) of scrap to the world market, while South Korea typically imports 7-8mn tpa of scrap. As such, Korean EAFs may see margins squeezed. Another risk is the expected appreciation of the won, with the value of the won against the US dollar. Rising interest rates in South Korea and efforts to stabilise the won could shave off the currency's competitiveness. This will come at a time of rising raw material prices both for scrap and ore as well as coking coal, which will put pressure on margins throughout the supply chain.

Market Report, "Nigeria Oil & Gas Report Q2 2011", published

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 23, 2011 – This latest Nigeria Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 8.82% of African regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 23.07% of supply. African regional oil use of 3.06mn b/d in 2001 rose to an estimated 3.88mn b/d in 2010. It should average 3.96mn b/d in 2011 and then rise to around 4.48mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was 7.93mn b/d in 2001 and averaged an estimated 9.98mn b/d in 2010. From an estimated 10.37mn b/d in 2011, it is set to rise to 11.92mn b/d by 2015. Oil exports are growing steadily, because demand growth is lagging behind the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was exporting an average 4.87mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 6.10mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 7.44mn b/d by 2015. Angola has the greatest production growth potential, with Nigerian exports set to climb if the country can resolve recent quasi-political issues.

The region consumed an estimated 123.7bcm of natural gas in 2010, with demand of 176.2bcm forecast for 2015. Production of an estimated 217.7bcm in 2010 should reach 321.2bcm in 2015, which implies net exports rising from an estimated 94bcm to 145bcm in 2015. Nigeria consumed an estimated 10.51% of the region's gas in 2010, with its market share forecast at 13.62% by 2015. It will have contributed 15.62% to esti rc helicopter market place mated 2010 regional gas production and, by 2015, will account for 18.37% of supply.

The 2010 full-year outturn was US$77.45/bbl for OPEC crude, which delivered an average for North Sea Brent of US$80.34/bbl and for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) of US$79.61/bbl. The BMI price target of US$77 was reached thanks to the early onset of particularly cold weather, which drove up demand for and the price of heating oil during the closing weeks of the year.

We set our 2011 supply, demand and price forecasts in early January, targeting global oil demand growth of 1.53% and supply growth of 1.91%. With OECD inventories at the top of their five-year average range, we set a price forecast of US$80/bbl average for the OPEC basket in 2011. The unprecedented wave of popular uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that followed the removal of Tunisian President Ben Ali on January 14 has obviously fundamentally altered our outlook, particularly since the unrest spread to Libya in mid-February.

Taking into account the risk premium that has been added to crude prices in response to actual and perceived threats to supply, we have now raised our benchmark OPEC basket price forecast from US$80 to US$90/bbl for 2011 and from US$85 to US$95/bbl for 2012. Based on our expectations for differentials, this gives a fo manual trash compactor recast for Brent at US$94/bbl in 2011 and US$99/bbl in 2012. We have kept our long-term price assumption of US$90/bbl (OPEC basket) in place for the time being while we wait to see what path events in the MENA region take. We have also retained our existing supply and demand forecasts until the scheduled quarterly revision at the start of April.

Nigeria's GDP rose 7.8% in 2010 and BMI forecasts average annual growth of 7.7% in 2010-2015. We expect oil demand to rise from an estimated 288,000b/d in 2010 to 395,000b/d in 2015, representing 6-7% average annual growth. State-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) accounts for more than 50% of oil production and over 40% of gas supply, but a large number of international oil company (IOC) partners contribute to a forecast rise in oil and liquids production from an estimated 2.32mn b/d in 2010 to 2.75mn b/d by 2015 - subject to fresh rebel attacks on infrastructure and OPEC quota policy. Gas production should reach 59bcm by 2015, up from an estimated 35bcm in 2010. Consumption is expected to rise dramatically to around 24bcm by the end of the forecast period, allowing exports of no more than 35bcm. This threatens the country's liquefied natural gas (LNG) export business unless fresh supplies can be located and developed.

Between 2010 a garbage compactor review nd 2020 we forecast an increase in Nigerian oil and gas liquids production of 50.9%, with volumes rising steadily to 3.50mn b/d by the end of the 10-year forecast period. Oil consumption is set to increase by 96.6%, with growth slowing to an assumed 7.5% per annum towards the end of the period and the country using 567,000b/d by 2020. Gas production is expected to rise to 80bcm by the end of the period. With demand rising by 215% between 2010 and 2020, export potential should increase to 39bcm, largely in the form of LNG. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found in the appendix to this report.

Nigeria now holds second place in BMI's composite Business Environment Ratings (BERs) table, which combines upstream and downstream scores. The country now shares third place with Ghana in BMI's updated upstream ratings. Nigeria's score benefits from its substantial oil and gas reserves, its oil and gas production growth outlook, and high reserves-to-production ratios (RPR). The competitive landscape features numerous non-state companies, and licensing terms are generally acceptable, although potentially under review. However, negative country risk factors undermine the hydrocarbons-specific strength. Nigeria is in the upper half of the league table in BMI's downstream ratings, with a few high scores but near-term progress further up the rankings unlikely. It is ranked fourth, behind Algeria, thanks largely to poor country risk factors that undermine further a regulated and largely state-controlled industry.

Malaysia Infrastructure Report Q2 2011: New research report available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 19, 2011 – BMI View: The Malaysia Department of Statistics showed that Malaysia's construction industry had grown robustly in 2010, propelled by a two-year US$16bn stimulus plan initiated back in March 2009. The construction industry's value for t rc helicopter market place he first nine months of 2010 grew by a real 5.2% year-on-year (y-oy), pushing the nominal industry value to MYR18.2bn (US$5.0mn). As such, we are maintaining our fullyear real growth forecast of 6.7%, reaching a nominal construction industry value of MYR24.3bn (US$7.5bn) in 2010.

Key developments occurring the past quarter that will affect growth:

* In January 2011, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak asked all of the country's highway concessionaires to freeze, cut or abolish toll rates without compensation. We believe that these moves by the incumbent party to reduce toll road prices highlight the significant political risks associated with Malaysia's toll road sector, while potentially having an adverse affect on the financial health for Malaysian toll road companies.  * In January 2011, a new nuclear company, named the Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation, was created to advance the planning of the development of an eventual nuclear power plant in the country. An official decision on whether to proceed with the nuclear option is expected in 2013, while current indications point to a nuclear plant possibly being commissioned in the early 2020s.  * As part of the recently announced Economic Transformation Programme, the Mala garbage compactor review ysian government set out plans to expand the urban railway network in the Klang Valley. The proposed Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system will span 141km (40kms underground) with three major routes serving a radius of 20km of the Kuala Lumpur city. The MYR36.6bn (US$12bn) project will be financed by the government and a special purpose vehicle (SPV) will be created to raise funds. The MRT project will commence construction in July 2011 and is expected to be completed in six years. In December 2010, Malaysia selected the MMCGamuda joint venture (JV) as its project development partner for the MRT project.

Beyond 2010, we remain cautious about the growth potential for Malaysia's construction sector due to the country's poor fiscal position, its exposure to the Chinese economy and the allure of other South East Asian markets. Therefore, BMI is pencilling in slower construction sector growth over the medium term. The construction sector is expected to average real growth of 5.6% per annum between 2011 and 2012. Looking further ahead, we expect sector growth to slow further, averaging 4.9% per annum between 2013 and 2015, with the nominal industry value expected to hit MYR35.4bn (US$10.9bn) by 2015.

New Market Research Report: Ukraine Power Report Q2 2011

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 16, 2011 – The new Ukraine Power Report from BMI forecasts the country will account for 7.16% of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)'s regional power generation by 2015 and, after system losses etc, will remain a modest net exporter of electricity to neighbouring states. CEE power generation in 2010 was an estimated 2,581 terawatt hours (TWh), representing an increase of 2.3% on the previous year. We forecast an increase in regional generation to 3,023TWh by 2015, representing a rise of 13.6% during 2011-2015.

CEE thermal power generation in 2010 was around 1,282TWh, accounting for 49.7% of the total electricity supplied in the region. Our forecast for 2015 is 1,447TWh, implying 10.0% growth that reduces the market share of thermal generation to 47.9%. This is primarily due to environmental concerns which are leading to the promotion of renewables, hydro-electricity and nuclear generation. Ukraine's thermal generation in 2010 was almost 80TWh, or 6.22% of the regional total. By 2015, the count garbage compactor review ry is expected to account for 6.19% of CEE thermal generation.

For Ukraine gas is the dominant fuel. In 2010 it accounted for an estimated 37.2% of primary energy demand (PED), followed by coal at 31.8%, nuclear energy at 16.9%, with oil having a 12.5% share o helicop ter technology f PED. Regional energy demand is forecast to reach 1,519mn tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) by 2015, representing 13.15% growth over the period 2011-2015. Ukraine's estimated 2010 market share of 8.89% is set to ease to 8.56% by 2015. In 2010 Ukraine will have accounted for an estimated 24.55% of regional nuclear energy consumption, with its share lower at 23.69% by 2015.

Ukraine holds eighth place ahead only of the Czech Republic in BMI's updated Power Business Environment rating. There is no reason to expect Ukraine will be able to mount a challenge for further promotion over the short to medium term, although Slovakia is only two points above it. The current score reflects the considerable size of the country's electricity market and infrastructure. Country risk factors offset the respectable industry scores.

BMI is forecasting an average annual increase in Ukrainian real GDP of 4.32% per annum between 2011 and 2015, with an assumed 2011 increase of 3.60%. The population is expected to contract from 45.8mn to 44.4mn over the period, but GDP per capita and electricity consumption per capita are forecast to increase 127% and 22% respectively. The country's power consumption is expected to increase from an estimated 128TWh in 2010 to 157TWh by the end of the forecast period, recovering from the dramatic 2009 economic reversal. After system losses and power industry consumption, surplus supply could be 8.2TWh by 2015, assuming 4.2% average annual growth in electricity generation during 2011-2015. The country's transmission and distribution systems are in need of investment and maintenance, and significant quantities of generation are wasted through line losses.

Between 2011 and 2020, we are forecasting an increase in Ukrainian electricity generation of 46.2%, which is above the middle of the range for the CEE region. This equates to 23.4% in the 2015-2020 period, up from 18.5% in 2010-2015. PED growth is set to rise from 9.7% in 2011-2015 to 13.8%, representing 24.9% for the entire forecast period. An increase of 117% in hydro-power use during 2011- 2020 is a key element of generation growth. Thermal power generation is forecast to rise 24% between 2011 and 2020, with nuclear consumption up by 56%. More details of BMI's long-term forecasts can be found towards the end of this report.

New Tracking System Finds California Business Departures at New High

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 15, 2011 – Irvine, Calif.,  – California is experiencing the fastest rate of companies moving out of state since a tracking system designed to identify such events was created two years ago by a specialist in business relocations.

So far this year, the state has undergone 70 business disinvestment events with losses averaging 4.8 per week, greater than the 3.9 per-week average for all of last year. All 70 companies are named on a list with links provided to information that support their listing.

"The numbers understate our losses because we only learn about one out of every five moves," said Joseph Vranich, a bus trash bins iness relocation coach-consultant who created the system based on public domain information a Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi nd a network of sources who are industry professionals. "Those of us who want to revive California's economy can point to this trend as a reason for the state to become friendlier to business."

"Disinvestments" are defined as companies moving an entire facility to another state or foreign nation or, in carefully selected instances, companies making major c helicop ter technology apital investments in plants elsewhere that in the past would have been built in California.

Excluded from the listing are out-of-state expansions that have nothing to do with California's difficulties but are driven by understandable growth, marketing or logistical factors.

While companies relocate because of costs, taxes and regulations, the number of employees who want to move for lifestyle reasons seems to be increasing. garbage compactor review

"We now have a phenomena where employees are encouraging their employers to move out of state," Vranich said. "People give reasons like 'I want to put my kids in a better school system' and 'I can afford to buy a nice house in other states that I can't afford here.' The most humorous reason I've heard was 'My company is fabulous. I will move wherever it decides to go. If it's someplace that's cold, I'll get used to it!'"

Published along with the latest tally is an updated version of "The Top Ten Reasons Why California Companies Are Calling the Moving Companies." The list includes a new reason – higher utility costs caused by an energy law passed this week that will affect all types of businesses.

"California's commercial and industrial users, who already pay the highest electricity rates in the nation, will see costs rise by another 19 percent in many places and by a whopping 74 percent in Los Angeles," Vranich said. "We are creating overwhelming obstacles for our companies as they try to meet competition based in other states and in foreign nations."

"There is little evidence that California's business environment will improve considering that the legislature recently voted down litigation reform, taxes may increase, and a host of new regulations will increase costs for literally every type of business," Vranich concluded.

Chinese Commercial Vehicle Industry Maintained a Substantial Growth in 2010

, China ranked the second in the world with the commercial vehicle production of 4.37 million in 2010, and was only second to the U.S.A.

In 2010, Chinese automobile industry was in good condition, enjoying a sustained increase in production, which gave an impetus to the development of Chinese commercial vehicle industry.

Chinese commercial vehicle segment market realized an all-round improvement in 2010. Passenger vehicle sales volume was 356,200 with a 31.30% increase YOY; truck sales volume was 2.83 million with a 25.83% rise YOY; semi-trailer trash bins tractor sales volume was 354,600, rising by 67.98% YOY; sales volume of non-complete passenger vehicles was 86,900, ascending by 4.93% YOY; that of non-complete trucks reached 675,100, going upward by 35.53% YOY.

Chinese booming automobile market not merely drew the attention of automobile manufacturers, but also attracted global commercial vehicle giants to enter Chinese market successively. Several European commercial vehicle groups adjusted their strategies in succession, and transferred their focuses to emerging markets including Chinese market.

In addition, continued implementation of national policies and regulations issued in 2009 also played a positive role in constantly increasing the demand for automobile products, thus promoting the development of the commercial vehicle industry.

On July 1, 2009, the National Standard Ⅲ began to be fully implemented for commercial vehicles. Fiscal subsidy and other policies promoted the passenger vehicle industry, especially raising the sales volume of new-en garbage compactor review .gov/community/blogs/expert-insight-and-news/business-planning-tutoria ls/business-planning-sales-forecast">helicopter technology ergy passenger vehicles. On Jan. 1, 2009, fuel tax reform was formally carried out, and domestic fuel price was slightly reduced in addition that 6 fees including road toll were canceled, resulting in the decline of vehicle operating costs. In April 2009, the Planning for Adjustment and Rejuvenation of Logistics Industry was formally launched, greatly pushing forward the development of the third-party logistics and urban distribution business as well as exerting a positive effect on the development of light and medium trucks.

However, development of the commercial vehicle industry also encountered the impact from other industries.

In 2010, with the improvement of global economic environment and the enhancement of inflation expectation, the steel industry faced greater pressure of rise in costs of iron ore and coke production, which was bound to be transferred to the downstream industries, thus increasing the raw material prices of the automobile industry. Rise of steel prices inevitably elevated the raw material purchasing cost of the commercial vehicle industry, which was adverse to corporate benefits and aggravated production and operation risks of the commercial vehicle industry. Therefore, in order to weaken the risks, enterprises implemented technology transformation and production adjustment.

Besides, with the increase of fuel price, corporate operating cost and associated cost of automobile value chain as well as transportation problems, restrictions were increasingly intensified on the automobile industry development.

However, since China is a developing country, it still needs to carry out infrastructure construction such as the construction of expressways, high-speed railways, real estate, airports and mines as well as implement reconstruction after natural disasters such as earthquake in Yushu of Qinghai p Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi rovince. Hence, Chinese demand for commercial vehicles remained greater than developed countries.

With the double influence of flourish domestic automobile industry and national policy support, demand of Chinese commercial vehicle industry remained extremely high.

Colorful Europe: Ceresana analyzes the paint and varnish market

"Revenues in Europe will increase to €27.7 billion by 2018," says Oliver Kutsch, CEO of Ceresana Research. The market research institute is currently publishing a new study on the European paint and varnish market.

On the road

The transport industry is of special significance: Although this sector accounts for less than 8% of the entire paint and varnish market, its share in terms of value totals almost 15%. Car series paints, refinish coatings, and ship paints enjoy above-average growth. Demand for industrial varnishes, the second-largest field of application behind the construction industry, is especially increasing in Russia, Poland, and Turkey. But also some West European countries, like the Netherlands, record above European average growth, which amounts to 1.6% per year. Powder coatings, acryl varnishes, and epoxy-based products are also gaining importance.

Build-up in Eastern Europe

The construction industry's influence on the paint and varnish mark manual trash compactor et continues to decline. While the construction industry accounted for approximately 59% of European demand in 2002, its share is anticipated to drop to 56% by 2018. However, this trend is weakened by rising sales of dispersion paints in Eastern Europe.

Organic and nano coatings are gaining popularity

Many manufacturers develop solvent-free and environmentally-friendly paints and varnishes that are, for example, suitable for steel containers or internal coatings. This allows reducing environmental pollution by VOC emissions. A great number of companies are working on product solutions, which offer special properties: apart from heat insulation, especially nanotechnology is a topic of the fu rc helicopter market place ture, e.g. when it comes to self-cleaning of antibacterial coatings.

Plastic instead of concrete

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 06, 2011 – Pipes should last a long time, avoid that waste water or chemicals seep away, but at the same time be easy to handle. This is why plastic – instead of metal or concrete – is increasingly used in pip Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi ing systems. "The price of raw materials, like steel or copper, does also play a crucial role," explains Oliver Kutsch, CEO of Ceresana Research. The market research institute has scrutinized the European plast garbage compactor review ic pipe market from top to bottom.

Plastic in domestic applications

While two thirds of all sewers in Europe are still ma rc helicopter market place de of concrete or vitrified clay, plastic pipes are already more frequently used than metal pipes in home sanitary installations. The most popular material for plastic pipes is polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a 45% share, followed by polyethylene with 36%. Ceresana Research expects that especially polypropylene will be increasingly used over the next years, whereas the use of PVC will stagnate.

Eastern Europe is catching up

Since the East European infrastructure networks have to be expanded, the demand for plastic pipes in this region is growing stronger than in the West. In Eastern Europe, sales of PVC pipes are still rising, while only better quality pipes made of polyethylene or polypropylene record growth rates on the relatively saturated markets in Western Europe. Ceresana Research expects that revenues from plastic pipes in Europe will rise to €9.7 billion by 2018.

Essential pipes

In Western Europe, about half of all plastic pipes are used for sewage disposal. In Eastern Europe, sewage disposal only accounts for one third of the demand for plastic pipes. Applications in drinking water and gas supply are of greater importance in this region. The largest share of the European plastic pipe market is accounted for by Germany with 14%, followed by Spain, France, Italy, and Turkey.

Informative market report

The Ceresana Research market study in two volumes analyzes in detail the plastic pipe market in 30 European countries. The separately analyzed fields of application are water and gas supply pipes as well as pipes for agriculture and industry. Further important fields include cable protection, geothermal systems, district heating, and household applications. The clearly arranged index of producers lists 135 profiles of trash bins pipe manufacturers. A concise overview provides the most important information on the different pipe types, plastic grades, manufacturing processes, joining techniques, and legal situations. 7 Tips to Preventing Possible Plumbing Disasters at Home!

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 02, 2011 – Sinnamon Park, QLD - In order to prevent or reduce the likelihood of a plumbing disaster, Paul Wright, head of the Brisbane Plumber, offers the residents of Brisbane the following plumbing disaster mitigation tips:

* The first step to avoiding plumbing emergencies is to periodically check your plumbing system, namely your sink, bathtub, shower, or other water sources for leaks. Regular checking of your plumbing system is important because it will let you discover breaches of the system that if not attended to could lead to serious problems later on. This does not only save you money that you'd be spending on major repairs later on, but it also saves you money in lowering your water bill, and of course the inconvenience of not having your regular water supply. You don't necessarily have to check your system every day, once or twice a month will do it just fine.

* Secondly, you need to pay close attention to the kitchen sinks, bathtubs, and showers. These are potential hotspots. In other words, they experience more wear and tear than other rarely used water systems in the home. However, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't periodically check those areas that you don't use garbage compactor review regularly.

* Thirdly, make sure your drains aren't clogged. To avoid clogged drains, you have to know the likely causes. Therefore, I advise you try avoiding hair, grease, or other debris from going into the drain. Hair or threads usually get stuck in the pipes thus prevent water from freely flowing through. Grease does the same thing. To prevent hair from getting into your drainage system, installing a drain screen is a good idea. Although most drains have a built in system that cuts and grinds leftover food, you should still try to avoid food debris getting into the drain.

* Fourthly, you need to check for leaks by closely observing the areas where the pipes are installed or joined. For instance, if you can see moisture on your wall, even though the weather is dry, or if you can find water slowly dripping from the ceiling of your basement, it is a possible sign there's a leak somewhere in your pipe system. This would need your immed trash bins iate attention if you are to ward off more serious damage later on.

Now, what if after you have carried out your preventative measures, you still find yourself facing an emergency with your plumbing system? "The first thing to do is to find the right solution to your problem. If you have knowledge about fixing taps or pipes, you should try to repair the damage yourself first before calling a plumber," owner Paul Wright, who recommends you consider the following additional steps to preventing a major plumbing disasters:

* Determine the kind of damage you have. A professional plumber usually offer different services and you have to know the kind of help that you need. Examples of common plumbing emergencies are clogged drains and toilets, blocked gutters, leaks, storm w rc helicopter market place ater issues, and so on. Knowing the kind of service that you need makes it easier for you to find the right plumbing professional.

* If water is continuously coming out of the pipe or faucet, try to do something about it immediately, such as preventing the continuous flow of water by turning off the main water switch because you might get a Brisbane Plumber immediately. You might have to wait a few hours before a plumber gets to you.

* Finally, it is always important to have a list of plumbers you can readily call upon even before you need their ser Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi vices. But if you fail to do your research, you can just browse through the yellow pages of your phone directory or ask your friends or neighbors if they know a reputable plumber.

"The above are some important things, tips, information, and considerations that you need to know about your Brisbane-based plumber that will help you in the future in case you have an emergency with your water system. Besides, you don't need to wait for an emergency to happen before you start learning about how to take care of minor plumbing issues," said Paul Wright

"Egypt Infrastructure Report Q2 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 02, 2011 – BMI View: Our view on the underlying risks to the infrastructure sector associated with political risk in Egypt has played out. In light of mass protests and calls for President Hosni Mubarak to relinquish his 30-year grip on power, BMI now takes a 'wait and see' approach to its assessment of Egypt's infrastructure market. Our forecasts for the overall construction industry value remain broadly the same, but we stress that they are merely provisional and will be subject to change when political turmoil in Egypt abates.

The main implications for Egypt's infrastructure market are:

* Egypt's nascent public private partnership (PPP) market has lost momentum and will only regain it once the political situation stabilises and some level of political continuity resumes.  * We still see significant growth potential for the infrastructure sector, but its realisation is predicated on political stability.  * Uncertainty over the future of the country's nuclear power project. Such a major project may indeed prove to be contentious under a new government and could be abandoned.

Growth in Egypt's construction sector has been strong in recent years and our previous assessment was that this growth trend was due to continue. This was prompted by high investor interest in infrastructure - particularly the nascent PPP/concessions market - as well as the plans for major investments in luxury residential and commercial projects and affordable housing. We believe that recent events will alter this trend and most likely growth will moderate over H111, as investors put projects on hold and attempt to avoid the considerable political risks that have engulfed the market.

We refrain from altering our previous forecasts because we do not yet have a clear idea of how the market will be effected and we therefore stress that these forecasts for Egypt's construction industry value are provisional and subject to change when the outlook becomes clearer over the coming months.

Hair Salons may expose Workers and Customers to Dangerous Levels of Formaldehyde

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 01, 2011 – Last year the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) cautioned salons using hair-smoothing products about health risks from formaldehyde exposure.  Two public health alerts have also been issued by the Oregon Health & Science University's Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicology (CROET) about possible negative health impacts from hair straightening products.

According to a recent CROET release, "The product being tested is called Brazilian Blowout. Upon receiving two samples from Portland area salons, CROET asked the Department of Consumer and Business Services' Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Division to chemically analyze the products. The results of Oregon OSHA's testing showed that the two different formulations of the product contained between 4.85% and 10.6% formaldehyde.  In additi Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi on, the second sample, which came from a bottle labeled "formaldehyde free", was tested using four different methods." The tests revealed the product contained between 6.3% and 10.6% formaldehyde. Oregon OSHA is advising salons using these hair-smoothing treatments to take necessary precautions outlined in Oregon OSHA's formaldehyde rule.

Formaldehyde is widely manual trash compactor used in many consumer products and common building materials. The World Health Organization's trash bins (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified formaldehyde as a potential human carcinogen.

Clark Seif Clark, a leading provider of indoor air quality (IAQ) and environmental testing services, has extensive experience testing indoor environments for formaldehyde and other gases.  "Brazilian Blowout is just one example of numerous available products containing known hazards that are incorrectly labeled. Without the correct information, consumers and professionals are unable to formulate fact-based risk management decisions," reported Derrick A. Denis, V.P. Indoor Environmental Quality at CSC.  "Formaldehyde causes short-term irritation to mucosal membranes including the eyes, nose and throat. Skin exposure and inhalation exposure over extended durations and/or at high concentrations can result in increased risk of cancer.  Both workers and customers need to be protected from unnecessary exposure. Workplace safety programs should consider options such as product evaluation, education (i.e. hazard communication), engineering controls (i.e. ventilatio garbage compactor review n), personal protective equipment (i.e. gloves) and periodic exposure monitoring."

To learn more about formaldehyde or how CSC can help assess and manage worker exposure to formaldehyde and other environmental issues, please visit http://www.csceng.com, email csc@csceng.com or call (800) 807-1118.

Market Report, "Ukraine Petrochemicals Report Q2 2011", published

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 01, 2011 – Ukrainian petrochemicals output growth is set to stagnate or fall in 2011 as domestic and external demand weaken somewhat and GDP growth declines, according to BMI's latest Ukraine Petrochemicals Report.

Key petrochemicals consuming industries such as the construction and automotive sectors are facing a dismal year. BMI believes it will take until around 2015 for plastics demand from the construction sector to return to 2008 levels. Local consumer demand has helped stimulate the automotive industry, although not nearly enough to return output to pre-recession norms that will help lift the market for engineering plastics and synthetic rubber. Domestic demand still remains tentative, while the banking sector remains extremely weak and there have been few incentives for increased consumer spending.

The export sector, which led growth in petrochemicals in 2010 due to the depreciation of the hryvnia, is also set to suffer. Depreciation boosted the competitiveness of the country's exports, but we expect growth in exports to slow further as positive base effects from the massive 15.1% real contraction in GDP in 2009 recede and fiscal austerity measures in key export markets such as Russia - particularly concerning state infrastructure projects - crimp demand for Ukraine's main heavy industry exports, such as petrochemicals. In addition, we highlight that the relative competitiveness enjoyed by Ukrainian petrochemicals exporters will be eroded by rising domestic gas prices as government subsidies are withdrawn under Kiev's IMF Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) as well as the rise in oil prices, which will spur the growth in naphtha feedstock.

Overall chemicals output grew by a third in 2010, surpassing the decline reported in 2009. BMI estimates that plastics output reached 365,000 tonnes in 2010, up by around 17.5% over 2009 levels, although output was still 16% down on 2008 levels, and Ukraine's petrochemicals sector operated at around 70% capacity - which is well below the 80-85% level which BMI regards to be the break-even point for the industry. Meanwhile, structural constraints within the industry, coupled with policy flux and uncertainties regarding future sector consolidation, will militate against the domestic industry to the benefit of imports. The decline in the value of the euro and a fluctuation in feedstock prices are contributing to increasing uncertainty in the industry and holding back output. Most imports o manual trash compactor riginated from Russia, which also remained the country's primary export market.

Ukraine has fallen one place to 10th place in BMI's Central and Eastern Europe Petrochemicals Business Environment Ratings as a result of its score falling 1.0 point to 39.5 points as a result of a decline in its country risk rating. This puts Ukraine 0.5 points behind Bulgaria and 6.3 points ahead of Azerbaijan. The score had been strengthened in recent months due to progress on a 300,000tpa PVC plant in Kalush, an improvement in market risk ratings due to a deal with Russia over cut-price gas supplies and the election of a new Moscow-oriented government which provides some stability in the operating environment for the petrochemicals industry and trade relations with its largest market, Russia. However, the score is held back by very weak a long-term financial markets outlook, although this can get better in the event that IMF credit is sustained and the banking system revived. The overal trash bins l petrochemicals rating score has plenty of upside potential.
